Yes, Arsenal had to fight hard to get a place in the quarter-finals, but I think they deserved to win it. Arteta managed to take his team to the quarter-finals and he became the other Spanish manager to reach that stage. Previously, Pep Guardiola, Xavi and Luis Enrique had reached the quarter-finals and we hope that the competition between these managers will be presented in the quarter-finals.
Arteta should focus his attention to the champions league. Arsenal need to win a champions league title. It is the most important title for them in my opinion. They have never won it. Winning the champions league will give Arsenal fans the bragging rights they need to get back at their rivals in the premier league.
I don't think it's time for Arsenal to win the Champions League title with Arteta, I mean this team still doesn't have the winning mentality as expected. Arsenal tend to fail to impress when they are expected to, but they tend to fail when they are favourites. I almost expect them to fail in the last 16 if Porto can convert the penalty well, but that's more luck than pure skill.
If Arsenal meet Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, then their journey this season in the Champions League will probably only reach the quarter-finals. Maybe it would be a different story if Arsenal met PSG or Barcelona, but these last two teams should not be underestimated at all. Instead of hoping for the Champions League title, it is still very possible for Arteta not to lose focus on the Premier League when they are already leading the standings. Liverpool and Manchester City will fight for that place, so things are still difficult to hope for.
