Leverkusen were absolutely crazy, they made their supporters hearts almost fall out. Final score 3-2, the match went like in the first leg, they fell behind first. The Qarabag player red card helped Leverkusen in the final minute. The final aggregate was 4-3, Alonso squad really didn't want to be defeated, the match was very dramatic, and finally they qualified for the quarter finals.
I heard some talks going on like Leverkusen unbeaten run will finally come to an end, Leverkusen are not good with European competitions and so many more but after seeing a Qarabag player receive a red card i just knew that there is still a whole lot of game and drama to witness. I just had so much believe in Leverkusen to turn things around but at 90th minute i didn’t expect them to win though i was only expecting a draw and probably win at extra time or penalty shootout. It would be unfair if they lose their unbeaten record to Qarabag and also exit the competition at such early stage.
I admire their mentality of never giving up until it’s over, it was a crazy performance from them and i think they deserved to win. It shows how ready they are to winning a trophy this season, I don’t think they will lose the Bundesliga to Bayern Munich with such mentality.
You got that right leverkusen was been so dramatic last night, first when I checked the score as of 67 minutes garabag was leading with 2goals I was like, is this the leverkusen I use to know before,or is it that they don't consider this European league necessary. after a nice goal from frimpong making it 1:2, Qarabeg got there defence line tighten till 90 minutes. at this point I just consider leverkusen as a loser,but to my greatest surprise Schick p who was substituted in 59mins score in a row, the first goal was at 90+3 second goal was at 90+8 making it 3:2 I think he was sent by the most high to rescue the team from been wiped out from the Europa league either.
