Bayern Munich should focus their attention on the UEFA Champions League because Bayern Leverkusen would not allow them to win the Bundesliga title this season. With the recent struggles of Bayern Munich, it will be hard for them to win the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.
Bayern won't let the league go. On the one hand, Stuttgart is only a few points behind and Bayern's minimum goal after the messed up season was to finish at least second in the league. On the other hand, the club has already indicated that the championship is not yet completely over. If Leverkusen weakens, Bayern wants to be there.
Likewise Bayer Leverkusen, they won't want to miss the golden opportunity they have got this season to end the back to back league wins of Bayern Munich that's one of the things that keeps them motivated I think so and with the way they have maintained the winning streak in all competitions I believe they have no plans of dropping points which is the only way that Bayern Munich can overtake them. Bayern Munich on the other hand won't give up on pushing till they see the end of the season because they have had a similar situation in the past where they overtook Dortmund at last to win the league so they will be looking for any mistakes from Leverkusen so they can overtake them. The Champions League and Europa League will be another thing that may affect the performance of both teams so it's up to them to perform well or risk losing their position on the league table, Stuttgart has no chance of finishing ahead of Bayern Munich because they are still going to drop points before the end of the season while Bayern Munich may have the opportunity of winning all their remaining matches if they maintain the level of form they are right now.
I was thinking back and forth whether the game in the Europa League could have cost them their precious momentum had they gotten kicked out of the competition. Because it was against all expectations that they could somehow lose that game and then out of a sudden everything was against them. But now that they made this little miracle happen and scored those two goals in overtime, I this can set free additional belief and willpower for the rest of the season. The dream of the mini treble is still fully alive. A home game in the DFB Pokal against Dusseldorf and not an easy game in the Europa League, but they are still the favorite there. Another interesting game against Hoffenheim, but I think neither Bayern nor Leverkusen will drop points this weekend.
