It called KYC, and it's a common practice with same details being asked for any players. I somewhat doubt it's as bad as you described, there are a lot of other user with other gambling casino that went through way more than what you experienced, like having their KYC pending for months, I think yours will looks like a walk in a park.
I'll advise you to, next time, instead of calling a staff who merely do their job as an arrogant and stupid kid and accuse a platform stealing your fund, try to do your part first like they suggested and see if it solves the problem instead of go seeing all red. I was in the middle of updating
