At least Girona tried their best to keep winning the match against Getafe and it was proven that they had kicked several times at Getafe's goal, but Getafe's defense was difficult to penetrate until the match was over. Girona will probably remain in second place on the standings and will no longer be able to catch Real Madrid, who have quite a distance in points.
