its not always merit that is needed for you to grow in the community, making a good post, and topics are way to start, once those things are inline you don't need to worry about getting merits it will come naturally without you knowing, also learning things with others post simply adding up to you're growth, new members will immediately want to rank up so fast gathering merit as fast as they could, some people just want to learn because information in the forum are everywhere.
Exactly. Merits are not the sole basis of growth. You can grow in the forum if you consistently learn new insights and valuable ideas through reading and participating in such discussions. You grow in the forum if you have learned from the experiences of other forum members. And lastly, you grow in the forum when you are now able to create constructive and quality posts that you can already leave an impact to other members. If you are seeing these things in yourself, believe me those merits will eventually follow. Don’t chase for merits, but look forward for additional knowledge in the forum, that way merits will be raiser for you to achieve.

Indeed knowledge is the most vital part of our growth here in this forum, without the knowledge in the first place there is no growth in any form here in this forum. Then after which you have acquired the knowledge, the next thing is to start making good quality posts, and that alone would prove that you have acquired enough knowledge, though writing is a skill and we must know how to express ourselves to have a good communication and share our thoughts with others. And not every quality post gets merited, but when you have more quality posts, you stand a chance of getting at least 1/3 percentage of your posts merited.
