FPL has some odd rules, but don't worry, everyone is entering the league with a wounded team and will take a hit in someway. Taking hit is part of the game.
I only have 8 available players in my team, and I'm fine with starting at -12 in the new league as long as I get the squad I want.
Maybe I am complicating things here but you could all agree to take the same hit. Let's say 20 points and then you are all on the same start.
