I predict that Girona will be able to stay in the top four of the standings and secure a ticket to appear in the Champions League next season. Girona will definitely try to get back on track, recreating consistency in the remaining matches ahead. Apart from that, Girona still has a safe point for now, its position is 6 points adrift Bilbao and 7 points on Atletico, if it still loses points in the next two matches then its position will be really threatened. It's true, Girona should be proud of their achievements this season, being able to compete in the top four of the standings and playing in European competition next season is a big success in the club history.
Girona would have to put more effort if they wanted to maintain their position. Six and seven points are not too big to lose. Losing two games and a few draws can wipe out the point difference. Girona shouldn't be proud of their performance yet until they secure a European league spot. I don't think Miguel Ángel Sánchez and his team will not be satisfied without a Champion league slot.

Meanwhile, Michel will definitely motivate his squad to show their best performance again, their struggle will be in vain if they are knocked out of the Champions League zone. In the remaining 9 matches, Girona will several tough matches that have the potential to lose points, Michel must immediately find a solution to his squad setbacks before it is too late. On the other hand, Girona also still has hopes of finishing in runnerup position and competing with Barcelona. The journey to create a turning point in performance will begin by hosting Real Betis next week.
In Girona's last game against Gatefe they were not clinical. They had thirteen shots and only three was on target. I also observed that Girona strikers prefer to go for goal even when a simple pass to a team make will give better chance of getting a goal. I think Michel should find solution to the bluntness of the attack. The club's game will be against the seventh-placed  Real Betis and it is a must-win for them to solidify their hold on the third position.
