With the elimination of Inter Milan from the Champions League, the club will now focus on the Seria A title. Inter is fourteen points ahead of AC Milan and seventeen points above Juventus. It will be very difficult for these teams to overtake Inter. The goal of these two teams will be to get a Champions League ticket and not the Italian league title. Inter lost two points when they drew against Napoli, however, the next game will be against Empoli. The international break is usually a turning point for some teams while it could also be a bad time for some clubs. Players are sometimes injured while representing their countries which might affect the performance of the clubs. The more injured players are club might have during this international break might determine how well they will fare after the break.
Apart from winning the Italian Super League cup, Inter also has a big chance of winning the Serie A title this season. Of course, it is a title they will win after failing in the Champions League and Inter will have to make it happen. Inter is safe from winning the Scudetto this season, that's because the points gap with Milan is already very high. It is no longer possible for Milan to win the title and Milan will only focus on maintaining its position in the Champions League zone.
Meanwhile, Roma and Bologna will compete fiercely for Champions League tickets. The gap in points between the two is still very possible to elbow each other, but Roma seems to have a better chance of qualifying for the Champions League even though Bologna has a few points advantage at the moment. If that is true, then Roma, Juventus, Milan and Inter will go to the Champions League next season representing Serie A.
Inter have already won the league, the are only waiting for the ceremonial part, because Milan will never be able to do anything than to remain on the second position as that is the highest that they go.
As for the club that will finish fourth on the table, I don't think that I can predict that correctly, because Bologna is becoming stubborn and would not accept defeat easily. Roma is a club that hardly lose any game, and the worst that will happen is a draw that they will settle for. So it becomes difficult to say, until we have like three matches left.
It seems like we will watch a fight for third and fourth place, but the first 2 places will most likely not change. I think Bologna played better with their Champions League dream. It is every player's dream and they know that if they play well there, they will definitely receive transfer offers from other teams. That's why their first goal will be to finish the league in the top 4 places.
