Well if you are a real gambler then I believe they would be lots of sports that you actually don't watch but do place a bet on them maybe due to the fact that you have done research on that particular sports, well I don't know if this logic implies to all but for me I think I have a couple of sports like that and one of them is basketball. I have no interest in basketball whatsoever to watch but I do stake on some teams in the sports and another sports is baseball although I was got interested in a particular team which is the Yankees and this was because of a movie I watch about the new York Yankees.
Actually I think real gamblers are passionate and dedicated enough on their thing, so they will love to watch a match that they are betting on. Not only that it was fun but this also works as an analysis which they can use later down the road. When we are trying to win money, researching before placing a bet is a must. Watching a live won't do anything in our winning chance anyway.
If you don't like to watch a basketball game I think it means you also have no interest on the sport and maybe you are only betting for fun and trying your luck? As for the baseball one, relying on a movie to place a bet is no good. You know movies are mostly fictional.
