I thought Barcelona would be at the first position by now in the La Liga table by now, since the club was the most performing in the last season and even the title holders which make them best fit for that position, Girona was a club that climb up to that position of being second because of the early set backs that Barcelona face during the first few games in the early time of the League.
At this moment Barcelona will have a lot of work today be done in under to be able to climb back to possible first position because Real Madrid who is currently the top club with 72 point against the current Barcelona 64 points which means a lot need to be done to be able to beat the current Real Madrid records.
Actually even in the early times of the league, Barcelona got to a point they were actually doing really well but then it turned out that they later had some set back with a few key players getting injured, I remember lewandoski couldn't play some games owing to his injury and he later performed after he got recovery fully and there was some kind of difference in Barcelona after he got his full recovery.
Layer after lewandoski has been performing optimally for the team, it turned out that the team seem to have some kind of tactical deformation and for some time their performance wasn't in any good shape and that caused them a whole lot of set back thst they were doing poorly and they couldn't win a single El classico games which further caused their form to get even worse, Barcelona could have been able to get to the top of the table but they allowed Madrid utilize the opportunity and now they couldn't get there anymore as they are so far behind Madrid.
Girona to me just look luck and nothing much again, because they don't possess the capacity yet to match top teams like Barcelona or Madrid tho they tried at some point to match Barcelona but then they have not been able to maintain it but it still doesn't put out the fact that they are actually doing well at this point and they are in a very good position on the league table which is guaranteeing them a spot at the champions league by next season.
