Well establishing a good community is easy if you are transparent. People only want honest person to run their project. Like be vocal on such details and be friendly when they are asking more about the project details. Also having a community is a strong sense of responsibility plus they are the one who can brought the project to life and even increase its chance to progress.

Transparency and honesty is the only way you will gather a community for your project. Anything else will foster distrust and suspicion because we (the cryptocurrency community) have been screwed over by so many scammers and dishonest project leaders, to the point that we automatically no longer believe anything from anyone.
