I believe this is exact definition of inflationary corruption of society. Everyone knows prices are increasing but everyone also knows money they own now is more valuable than money of tomorrow. This causes people to spend their money on many different kinds of markets, so they will be avoiding becoming poorer over time. This is net negative for society, sure, but most individuals don't know how to properly invest their money anyways. Best thing they know is to spend.

Or what we call programming by the rich, to keep them rich, and the poor, poorer as they keep on telling us that only the rich can afford over price items. And with that, the poor wanted to show in the society that they move that they are also rich by buying this expensive things. But in a hindsight, this is what this expensive clothing brands or whatever they wanted to sell us, giving us a fake lifestyle. So if we wanted to break from this programming, we really need to understand it so that we can shift our paradigm, learn how to control our money specially if we don't have that big account to start with. And stop portraying who we are in public.
