Girona is still very likely to end this season in the Champions League zone as long as they are able to win a few more matches in the remaining season. There were some tough matches, while there were also some easy matches for them. But regarding the title, that is no longer a goal that Girona needs to achieve since Real Madrid leads the standings by a lot of points.
What is quite worrying is the results of Girona's matches in the future. Whether they can produce wins in most of the remaining matches or not. The problem is that the difference between Girona's points and the lower ranks is only 6 points. So this might be a bit risky when you remember that Girona still has to compete against strong clubs. If at least they can do this and maintain it better than Bilbao, it is possible that Girona will continue to stay in 3rd or 4th position. Meanwhile, on the other hand, I think Atletico Madrid will remain in the top 4 in the future. Honestly, I'm really looking forward to Girona qualifying for the UCL next season. This will make us curious about how they will perform next season if they enter the Champions League.
Barcelona still have that chance to finish up at the second position on the table within the few times they have got left, normally Girona isn't a team that should even be contending Barcelona but then due to the fact that Barcelona has been suffering some kind of losses recently, they have been unable to really be optimal with their performance enough to get to the top far away from Giron this season.
I'm sure they have and they will.
Currently Barcelona's position is runner up, 2 points higher than its competitor, Girona. For the next 2 meetings, I am sure that Barcelona will still be in the runner up position. But next, they will face their main competitor, namely Real Madrid. This definitely won't be easy and the chance of winning is not that big. So, Barcelona must optimize all opportunities to compete with other clubs to get full points.
