You are of course right, Liverpool could lose against Atalanta but I think Liverpool are the favourites. Atalanta has a fairly productive attack line and so far they have proven their abilities by scoring 12 goals in the group stage and 3 goals in the round of 16. Liverpool have to be aware of the possibility of defeat, that's can make them fail to win a semifinal ticket. So it is not certain which of the two they will qualify for the semifinals.
Liverpool have 3 matches in the Premier League before the Europa League quarter-final match against Atalanta, so maybe this could also affect the team in the Europa League, especially if several players get injured before the match. I'm support Liverpool to win that ticket, but not underestimating Atalanta.

The reason is that if you look at history, Atalanta once beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield in the UCL League event even though afterwards they lost heavily 0-5 at home. This indirectly proves that Atalanta could potentially cause a surprise in the current match, especially in its attack line which could be said to be a surprise for the opponent's defense.
Liverpool are indeed the most favourite for the trophy,and with what I'm seeing,they want to win atleast a trebble cup for Joghen Klopp who wants to retire from football at the end of his career at Liverpool.He has done an incredible job at the team and would be looking forward to retiring with atleast three trophies to his name before the end of the season.
I don't see Atalanta as a competition to Liverpool because I know they can flog Atalanta anytime anyday.Atalanta doesn't have the players that can win a trophy from Liverpool, because in England Liverpool attack line and Arsenal's own are the best in England at the moment.
