I don’t think that these games have anything to do with the way things are today. This was 7 years ago. Who remains on the teams from those times? Müller, Neuer and a couple of other dinosaurs, but that's not the point: Müller may not have changed much over the years (a lot, actually), but both teams have changed a lot.
On paper, Arsenal is stronger now, but it is difficult to predict how it will all end because Bayern knows how to play high pressing, and Arsenal plays poorly without the ball. Everything will depend on whether the players can implement the tactical plans of the coaches.
Past records are important to be considered in football especially in the Champions League football. Bayern Munich has been one of the teams that always eliminated Arsenal in the Champions League for some years back, before it used to aggregate elimination because Arsene Wenger was good then and he always try his best to make sure Arsenal pass through Bayern, but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to do that and his last two season was the worst one on which Bayern defeated Arsenal 5-1 in three consecutive encounters.
Nevertheless, this is history, and Arsenal is in another form and not in the previous form just as Bayern Munich is now. I don’t think Bayern can be that good to beat Arsenal again home and away, I am not denying the facts that they qualify ahead of Arsenal, but they will struggle to eliminate Arsenal. Arsenal
Can also eliminate them.

Historical patterns made sense when teams had pronounced stylistic features and, roughly speaking, one style consistently beat the other. In modern football, teams simply do not have such pronounced features.
And tell me, if we go back to those years when Arsenal got such bad statistics, which teams had the better statistics? I think it's Real, oddly enough, but United, and who else? Bayern were on average the best (at least as good as other teams) and many teams suffered from them over those years.
