Leipzig is also in the Bundesliga not in La Liga and I think you are a little mistaken in this regard and for Stuttgart they just need to maintain their own position until the end of the season by continuing to win in every remaining game. And at least Stuttgart can be in that position in order to enter the Champions League competition next season, because Leipzig is still hindered by Dortmund in terms of fighting for the top four positions in the Bundesliga standings.
I thought it was just a typo, but maybe it needs to be fixed so it's not misleading.
Leipzig still has a chance to qualify for the Champions League next season because the points gap they currently have with Dortmund is very low. Dortmund can drop points at any time and Leipzig will take advantage of it, while Leipzig cannot always win either. Both of them will probably both qualify for the Champions League if the Bundesliga gets 5 representatives considering the change in the format of the Champions League next season, but I don't know how it will work yet.
However, Dortmund and Leipzig will try to qualify on their own terms instead of hoping for an extra slot from the Bundesliga due to the format change. Dortmund is certainly under pressure because of the points gap they have with Leipzig, so they have to be careful if they don't want to get out of the Champions League zone before the season ends.
