Dominant clubs are annoying, and if their dominance is based on dirty dealings, then this increases the irritation tenfold.
Everything City have achieved, they did so on the field; if you are talking about the EPL charges when you say "dirty dealings", remember that it is innocent until proven guilty, as at this time the EPL are yet to prove their case and City still say they are 100% not guilty. Having said that, whatever the outcome of this trial is, i think it is largely unfair to say all the success City have had is due to dirty dealings, when many of the charges go back to incidences of 10 years ago or more.
That's exactly right, we can't say anything before there is a court decision stating that, Manchester City has been legally and convincingly proven to have committed an FFP violation. In fact, it was not only Pep Guardiola squad that was accused of committing FFP violations, Chelsea was also caught up in similar accusations. If a violation is proven, the sanctions that can be received may not only be a deduction of points, it could be that the two elite teams will be relegated to the Championship division. Although it is annoying, as long as there is no final decision from the court or the Premier League organizers, we cannot say they are guilty.
The violations committed by Nottingham Forest and Everton were different, in that both teams were punished with different points deductions. As a result, The spotlight and accusations regarding violations that may have been committed by Manchester City and Chelsea cannot be avoided. I think if these two teams are relegated the Premier League will no longer be exciting, at least for a season or two. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United would be too dominant if Manchester City and Chelsea were not there.
