As far as I know, gambling only leaves a bitter taste in one's mouth when greed is what you are about as a person, and if you can't resist the edge to keep playing after winning or losing several hands to save the little you have left..then for sure you will see the bad side of gambling, otherwise it does have its perks like what's listed in the OP and I have first hand experience 
While gambling can bring excitement and joy to some, it's essential to acknowledge its potential negative impacts and risks, such as addiction and financial loss.
Very true my friend, and it should be noted that pretty much everything we do in life has two sides of a coin which is why we should do things in moderation to avoid being reckless or consumed by greed!!
