I personally can't put City as favorites to win back 2 back UCL as this is something that rarely happens in this competition. City has a great team but also fights for EPL title which might be an important factor in UCL and Real Madrid is the best team that knows how to speculate games like this and won't be surprised to see Real qualifying further but on the same time I can't see them winning the trophy either.
I will stick with my theory that whoever eliminated Porto in the last years , ended up winning UCL so this year , Arsenal should be one.

Manchester City are heavy favourites this year. Although their playing culture is not as good as the old Barcelona, they are a different version of it. Real Madrid is always the favourite in this tournament, but it is very interesting that they never play dominant football. For the first time in a long time I think Real Madrid's chances are slim and Ancelotti is responsible for that. There is something not right about him. In their last game, Ancelotti should thank his lucky stars Openda missed a lot. The only smart move he made was to put Kroos at centre-back. Kroos has spoilt a lot of Leipzig's chances. Struggling this much in this stage is not acceptable for Real. This makes City's chances so much higher.
