A family member observing the gambler as though he's a coach can be detrimental to the supervisor if he's a non-gambler. It's more tempting for the non-gambling to try out the game. I think gamblers should be the observers of other players when they're gambling. Putting a non-gambler in this place will only get the person wondering if he should gamble. Especially when the person he's watching plays wins some money. I think that's enough to make him forget his task is monitoring the gambling in his home. Gamblers are meant to be flexible. They need to maintain a good relationship with other players, especially, those who have been experienced in the game. They are always willing to help gamblers with problems to relieve their stress and become better players.

However, it's hard to get them in all localities, but the task of that gambler will be better than a non-gambler. He's used to the game and can't get bothered over any outcome anymore. A family member's duty is more appreciated when he discusses and converses with the gambler to help him feel other aspects of life.
