Atletico, even despite the decline, remains the favorite in the fight for the top 4, but this is not the level of advantage where we can be at least 60% confident in the outcome. 55% to 45% seems to me a more realistic balance of power.
As for Girona, judging by its recent games, it is now definitely no better than Atlético, Athletic, Barcelona. Girona feels confident only due to the reserve of points they created for themselves earlier. As for their prospects in the Champions League, I would not count on it since it is unknown what will happen in the summer and how many players from this squad will remain in Girona (and whether there will be serious acquisitions to replace the departed players + reinforcements).
It canno't be denied that for 3 clubs that have become subscriptions to the potential to remain in the Champions League zone it is indeed very open no matter how bad the performance is at the beginning of the season or mid-season but when it comes to the end of the season everything is always in a good situation and they can always secure the top 4 at the end of the season.
As for Girona now they are starting to experience problems after a very impressive start to the season when Girona is slowly returning to the initial performance where they are like an ordinary club even though in matches they can alwa ys play well in terms of attack but currently their defense is quite vulnerable because of the lack of good coordination especially when anticipating counterattacks.
Now it all comes down to performance because for Madrid Barcelona and Atletico I'm still pretty sure they are in the top 4 but for Girona if they really want to make this season a good one and be in the Champions League zone for the first time then they have to make a difference in performance because in the last few games they have been quite poor.
