In European competitions, we don't use the performance of a club in their domestic league to judge the outcome of the game. This is because any club that is not strong would not be in the quarter finals. The two clubs are strong enough for each other but there must be a winner, and it is a nice pair.

However, Benefica will do better than Marseille in the match because currently they are more consistent with their matches. Of course Liverpool and Leverkusen are the strongest club this season in this competition, and it will be lovely if we can see these two teams in the final, because I believe that they will be able to eliminate any team that crosses their way till the final stage.
The Europa League remains the most unpredictable tournament, and if we started talking about Benfica and Marseille, then this is also an unpredictable pair for me. The results of the teams in their championships are just as important, so we can determine what form the teams are in. And the strength of the championships is also not the best indicator, because it is impossible to follow all the championships, a recent example is the match between Karabakh and Bayer, I doubt that many of us followed Karabakh and its results before the EL playoffs. Perhaps earlier I would have thought that Benfica was stronger, but after Marseille’s 4-0 victory over Villarreal I no longer think so. Marseille has a good attack and this may come in handy.
