De Rossi has got great potential with Roma but what I can't really tell at the moment is if he will be able to get the team to the finals because he's not actually looking like he will be able to do such, he's actually been doing so well so far but he's not looking promising yet with the team as he did started with a very consistent tactics which was at the moment productive but later on his productivity began to drop.

He's no longer looking really productive as he should be any more and he's beginning to be inconsistent a d before than I noticed a pattern with him and that was why I actually wasn't too excited about his results and I didn't keep my expectations from him too high enough because I noticed that he was really finding it difficult with bigger teams but was going smoothly whenever he comes across weak or mediocre team, that alone made me understand that he may be having some kind of challenge outside their domestic league because in elite leagues like the Europa you need consistency with both the tough and weak teams to be able to stay at the top.

Mourinho when he was in charge of Roma, had got this way of handling the team such that they became fierce at any team that they happen to come across in the Europa and that was why they were at some point able to make it to the finals regardless of the teams they met on their way but with Rossi he's yet to find his way around bigger teams when he gets to meet them and that's his challenge for now.
