It is not an easy task for Ten Hag to compete with Aston Villa who are currently in their best performance and Man United is very different from last season when in the remaining matches they improved their performance with very high consistency, whereas this season Man United seems to be having difficulty competing with several teams above them.
Manchester United have bigger tradition than Aston Villa and before this season, Aston Villa were not stronger than Manchester United. Ten Hag, after about 2 seasons, shows that he is failing to improve Manchester United and worse, they are starting to fail, become weaker than average clubs like Aston Villa.
When Ten Hag was hired, Manchester United did not hire him to compete with Aston Villa but with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal. Now, things are not improved but tend to be worse.
Ten Hag sometimes confuses me. If you pay attention last season, Man United started the season badly. But they ended the season quite well because they were able to finish in 3rd place. And that made them qualify for the UCL at that time. And I remember that everyone started to favor Man United because they all saw Man United in good form at the end of last season. But we can see now. Ten Hag apparently repeated this season quite badly. even Man United failed in the UCL group stage. And now Man United is starting to bounce back and has managed to climb to 6th place in the EPL. But I think Man United's revival is a little late this season. And I don't think this team will get a UCL ticket for this season. If they are lucky, maybe they can get Europa League tickets. But I doubt it. I can't say Ten Hag failed. but I feel Ten Hag is not as good as when he was at the previous club. And maybe I hope Man United has a different coach next season.
