We live in a society where people have different views about something and these views could be drawn based on different constituent like personal sentiment, religion, ideology and experience. And speaking of gamble there are those that view it as an irresponsible activity to embark on and whoever is into it is tag as irresponsible guy, for some it beyond being irresponsible but a sin something that is evil,  while some others out of an ugly experience of a loved one that got ruined by it due to extreme addiction.

The availability of online gambling platforms allows anyone to maintain privacy in gambling so that other people do not need to know the activities we do, especially in gambling.
Now the issue of gambling is not a taboo activity because there are many people involved in it even long before online gambling platforms started appearing on the internet. The issue of how they are involved in gambling depends on each individual, whether they are responsible or not, only they themselves can control it.

Gambling addiction can have an enormous effect on the gambler's relationships with those closest to them, even if they do not gamble themselves. The confidentiality and lies that frequently accompany gambling addiction can produce a great deal of mistrust and conflict in relationships. Gambling addicts frequently borrow money from family and friends, which can strain relationships even more. It's far preferable to be honest with those closest to you and seek rehabilitation if you're battling with a gambling addiction.

Basically yes it is true and the impact of gambling will not only cause problems in socialization relationships with other people, especially the closest people but the impact of gambling can also of course destroy a person's life in various aspects, especially from losing balance in terms of finance so it is not uncommon for us to see people who end up with a very poor life situation where they lose all the property they have and also destroy their relationship with their family.

Yes I can confirm that, as you said above that the impact of gambling addiction can also make other people or society have a bad point of view towards us where usually they will put restrictions with us in terms of socialization and also maybe they will claim that we are someone who has a bad personality which of course in the end they will not trust us while on the other hand usually gamblers always make their closest people a place or target to borrow money when they don't have money to gamble. Another thing, keeping gambling habits a secret is indeed good so that we avoid bad claims from people around us but on the other hand we also need other people to help us if for example we want to quit gambling, because at least we definitely need some advice and input from some other people's heads or minds.
