I prefer a form of betting that uses more brainpower and personal analysis than games of luck and chance like slot machines in casinos. Typical subjects for this type are sports betting and poker. These are also the two sports that I like to play the most. In particular, sports betting (soccer) usually takes place over a long period of time, so my betting will be more proactive, I will not easily get caught up in the psychology of gambling addiction (this psychology I often encounter cards when playing gaming machines such as Sic Bo). With poker, it is a subject that competes both mentally and psychologically with many other players, it requires a lot of skills and it makes me more interested in playing.
Using your analytical skills and applying strategy can help you make better decisions and reduce the risk of gambling addiction but it doesn't guarantee your win. Sports betting and poker are great examples of games that require this type of skill and focus. But that doesn't mean that it's the only thing required, luck and chances plays a very vital and important roles too, because after applying the skills and experience, you'll need luck to win.
