This season has been a beautiful season that Alonso and Bayern Leverkusen will probably find hard to forget if they are able to win the Bundesliga. Currently, Leverkusen is ten points ahead of Bayer Munich, which means it is very difficult for them to catch up. Apart from that, Alonso was also able to set several records which made him shine even more as the most successful young coach. I am pessimistic that Bayer Leverkusen will be able to keep him because several other giant teams such as Bayern Munich and Liverpool also really want his services.
I am sure that it will be remembered well for a while, but I doubt it would be remembered all that much if Bayern comes back and wins many more. Look at Lille, they are the only team that won between PSG domination of the league, they got their title, it was a shock to the whole world that PSG lost the title, and yet when you look at it, nobody really talks about it.
Leicester was a big one, it wasn't the same, there wasn't a single team that won in that case, it was many good clubs and Leicester just came from the lower league, they spent so little time at premier league before they won it. This is why I believe that it's quite important to see what kind of situation Leverkusen will be in the upcoming seasons and if they will be good or not.
