The earlier Barcelona fans accept that they are no longer on par with Real Madrid, the better for them and this will help them save much revenue than thinking of getting top stars players to compete with Real Madrid rather focus on their La Masia stars which has been a blessing to them and with a span of 3 to 5 years they can be out with the financial struggles and within these years be qualifying champions league and win any of the domestic league or even LA liga. Though I can say Xavi has done well with this team even with his up and down but I guessed he is still the best man fit for the job since I don't think Barcelona can afford getting a top coach now especially not now when they have to think of getting Felix, Cancelo and reforcing midfield base on this season injury struggle.
Yes, Xavi has done various good things to lift Barcelona to its current condition. Therefore, I am sure that Barcelona management will try to keep Xavi. Because after all, it is not certain that a top coach will join Barcelona with the financial conditions they are currently facing. And if he wasn't a top coach, it's not certain that he would lead Barcelona to be much better than what Xavi has achieved. This is a dilemma for them. They shouldn't want such big demands for Xavi with their current condition. I understand that this might make Xavi even more enthusiastic and boost him to make Barcelona even better. However, who knows how long Xavi will be able to accept conditions like this.
It's true, Barcelona management will have difficulty finding a new successor to replace Xavi next season, they certainly can't afford it if they are required to win all the matches, but are not supported by an adequate budget and squad. It makes sense why Barcelona President Juan Laporta hopes that Xavi can stay, because he can't do much to recruit a top coach who can manage Barcelona beyond Xavi's performance.
It is very likely that Xavi will not change his decision, he has announced that he is resigning, which means that Xavi no longer wants to continue his managerial career at Barcelona although he really loves the club. On the other hand, there is news that Xavi could stay next season if they can win the Champions League trophy this season. But I think Barcelona chances of winning the UCL trophy are very low, just like Xavi chances of surviving.
Meanwhile, we will never know how long Barcelona will be able to get out of this financial crisis. What we should be grateful for is that Barcelona is still one of the ruling teams in the top four of the standings, even though it is currently a little impossible to win the La Liga trophy. However, Xavi deserves appreciation for his work so far, and he does not deserve to be completely blamed when Barcelona experiences ups and downs in performance.
