The ability to control emotions is good to minimize the possible bad effect of gambling but it will not help us to have bigger chance to make money from gambling. There is no guarantee in gambling, whoever we are, how patient we are, how good our emotion control, how good our bankroll because Luck does not care about all these things. No body knows when the luck come, to whom the luck come, and how the luck come because it is like a mystery that we will never able to predict.
Controlling emotions can save us from big losses and it may also help us to hold our winning but if we loss control of our emotions then we may fall into big loss and may not gather any earnings from gambling that's why controlling emotions is very important for us.
This is actually just about minimizing losses not winning. Talking about winning, it requires more consistent strategy mix with the right discipline, and it's hard to both achieve that, the reason why most gamblers are in a losing column. However, if we want to stay responsible, stay at a risk level we can, then we should ensure that we are discipline every time we gamble because getting things out of hand will surely result to regrets most of the time.
If we consider the playing style of all gambling players in the world, an interesting question will arise: how many of these players are there who are able to play in such an optimal and rational way.   For example, as a percentage compared to all players.
I think that as a result of analysis, we will unfortunately come to the conclusion that only 1 or 2% of all players are capable of such gaming behavior.
But of course, not all of them are players who consistently win in the long run.
But it is obvious that most of them, of course, are professional players.
By the way, the casino obviously should not like such players, since in any case their chances of winning are greater than those of all other players.
