Fair enough because your judgement is based on the past 10 years, but come to think of it, how many trophies has Liverpool been able to achieve as to measure with Barcelona? Even in the past 10 years, FC Barcelona has won more trophies than Liverpool so I think you didn't make your research correctly.
Why do you constantly miss the point? I'm not saying Liverpool has been better, I'm just trying to show that currently a lot of football fans,
especially English football fans believe Liverpool to be more successful. And I am saying that this view exists simply because of the standards of Barcelona. If any other club has achieved what Barcelona has achieved in the last decade, that club would be rated so highly, but because it's Barcelona, it seems normal.
I did a poll on Twitter where the majority of the voters were Barcelona fans and 28% of those people said Liverpool was more successful in the last 10 years. There's something called "recency bias" and also the Premier League PR, something most Spanish teams do not have. This is what makes Arsenal look like a greater team than Sevilla, but when you look at their history and achievements, Sevilla is a greater team than Arsenal.
I'm the past 10 years Barcelona has won 16 trophies, including 1 UCL, 5 leagues, and 5 Copa del Rey. While Liverpool have won just 7 in 10 years with just 1 league title and 1 UCL.
I never said Liverpool was the more successful team, I said Liverpool is perceived as the more successful team because of the standards of Barcelona and the premier league PR.
Very well then but as you can see the area I highlighted? Fair enough English football fans will value and support their own(Liverpool), have you also tried running this poll where the Spanish fans dominate most? I am not in for an argument but if you are making this analysis based on recent performance then you may actually be right though.
Basically, Arsenal seems overrated though I don't know if it is due to the fact that they are English team but the true test of a team is in international competitions of which Sevilla have achieved greater records than Arsenal though I don't know how this rankings are being done but the only thing that vividly differentiate Sevilla and Arsenal is that football lovers are more interested in watching Arsenal matches as compared with Sevilla.
However, you are right because the premier league gains more recognition and interests across the globe so if you are looking at it from that perspective then I finally concur. The standards of the premier league cannot be measured with that of the la Liga.
