Apparently 5 EPL teams will be able to qualify for the Champions League next season through league position. This had something to do with West Ham eliminating Freiburg in Europa League, which boosted England's coefficient rank and moved them above Germany, meaning EPL will earn an additional UCL spot.
This is explained in this article:

So there's still some hope for Man United and Ten Hag.
4 spots = no chance
5 spots = small chances

I'm glad to see PL eligible to receive additional spots. I read in an article published by goal if it said that PL has a lower rating compared to the La Liga this season. Being qualified for the UCL next season will probably be helping Ten Hag to save his position as a head coach in the club.
There is plenty of news that said that manchester united is starting to get upset over him. So, sir, Jim has reported that he will try to get rid of him from the club.

In fact, Spain's rating is now worse than even that of France. The point is that England can get ahead of Germany and take away an additional ticket from it. At the moment, Italy is in first place, then Germany, then England. All this information is in the cited article.
As for increasing the number of participants/representation of countries, this does not change anything - the early stages of the tournament are nonsense that few people are interested in. And if you combine this with the new chaotic format, you will most likely end up with an uninteresting prelude to the playoffs.
