Can the advice of loved ones even help?
Some family members may never understand and may act aggressively if they find out that you are a gambling addict. Gambling can be considered an abomination to many people who do not really understand it. To other family members who understand this, they may be able to offer useful advice without criticism. They may even be extra helpful to the extent of helping you get quality help from a professional or from a professional institute.
If the way the gambling is acting towards the urge to fulfill his gambling habits is beyond management then I believe even the family that shows no concern for the gambler will start to feel because the effect of addicted gambler is normally widespread to almost everyone close to him irrespective of how you term the act. For me I feel an addicted person should always be attended to and some family are not that observant of new characters of their relations because to identify an addict, it is better from early stages when the case is still manageable.
