There is a popular saying that power corrupt, but absolute power corrupt absolutely.
I don't agree with this saying by the way I stand to be corrected my reason is that is not power that currupt but power only act as catalyst to fulfill currupted minded personality who power is given.
Take instance of an arm rubber it's not the gun it's carry that rubbed people, but the person carrying the gun has already settled it's action in the heart just that the gun only give more motivation to it's concluded mindset .
You just made a nice point and I would have to agree with you. Sometimes it not the power that corrupt people but there mindset. There are people that already have a bad mindset and getting power would make them to become mean and do things without conscience.
We should be aware of this kind of people so we don't vote them into power and end up complaining that they are doing something that is not reasonable or attacking the citizens. Anyhow we ought to do it, we should always make sure we get the right people into power.
