Barcelona difficulty in scoring goals was due to Las Palmas having a very high fighting spirit even though they played with 10 players from the 24th minute, they continued to run after the ball relying on speed and playing with high tension. Las Palmas did play very well especially in defense even though they lost 1 player in the first 20 minutes of the first half but they were quite solid in defense even with 10 players it could be used as an excuse but another reason that makes more sense is because Barcelona is very bad in their attack where their effectiveness seems to be lost when in attack situations and makes them seem to waste the opportunities they have in this match.
They controlled the match because it was a definite thing they did. besides that, they also had not a few chances where when looking at the statistics there were about 14 chances they managed to get but from the on target they created they only did 2 on target and one of them became a goal making us know how bad Barcelona's attack was in today's match.
It's a good thing they scored 1 goal because otherwise I'm not sure what kind of criticism they will get later when this match is over.
There were many wasted opportunities in that match and that was because the players' finishing was not good. Joao Felix failed to score a close range goal, Lewandowski too, and that was a loss in itself for Barcelona even though they could win their home game. Statistically, Barcelona should have scored 2 to 3 goals in that match, but poor finishing was the reason why they only ended the match with a score of 1-0.
The victory over Las Palmas once again confirmed that Barcelona is still able to maintain its good performance to get maximum points. Barcelona is able to maintain a 2-point gap above Girona, while they might get closer to Real Madrid if Bilbao wins today. If Real Madrid wins, then the points gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona and Girona does not change, it is still the same as before.
