Top 5, looking towards Champions League - thats big stuff. Frankly, Mourinho was holding them back. Too afraid of mistakes, not enough trust in the talent.
AS Roma indeed have something to prove with the way they’re playing currently. Their coach De Rossi is grooming a great team and it is already paying out for them. I wouldn’t say Mourinho’s tactics was a bad one but they are not just compatible anymore with the players. If De Rossi’s tactics works out for them better, they should stick to his plan. If AS Roma makes it to the final and also make it to the champions league competition next season, that shouldn’t be a surprise to us all because their performance speaks for them best.
