Every manager has difference strategies, under Daniele De Rossi make difference game play with AS Roma more active for offensive than Jose Mourinho era prefer for full defensive.
Indeed, we know that the strategy adopted by Mourinho is more defensive, especially if the opponent they are facing is much stronger, they will defend completely and only rely on counter attacks. Meanwhile, in the De Rossi era, AS Roma were more daring in attacking and the results were quite satisfying because there were good changes that they could show.
With a more open strategy like that, it is possible that they will have a greater chance of winning the match, and De Rossi dared to do that. What De Rossi has shown with AS Roma currently looks good and hopefully they can maintain it, because it is not easy to change the style of play, it requires a process.
Look, AS Roma under De Rossi... its fantastic. Honestly, really enjoying it. This attacking style, its the right call. Team's playing like they have something to prove, and its working. Top 5, looking towards Champions League - thats big stuff. Frankly, Mourinho was holding them back. Too afraid of mistakes, not enough trust in the talent.

De Rossi, he gets it. Knows how to push the right buttons. And that Milan matchup? Historically tough, I understand. But with this newfound attitude, the way they're playing... yeah, Im not gonna lie, it could happen. A Roma win. Its on the table. These guys are hungry. Makes you excited as a fan, doesnt it? Whats your take? Could we be seeing an upset?
I don't think Roma would be able to qualify to the semifinals, because they are playing with a team stronger than them. Milan have been quite consistent recently and I believe that they also have the Europa cup finals in heart. It will be a shock to me, if Milan is kicked out by Roma in the quarter finals.

Roma is doing pretty good, ever since the arrival of De Rossi, but that does not mean that when they face a strong club like Milan, they would be able to be victorious over them. Roman's strength is limited. Since Di Rossi took over from Mourinho, Roma have not won a big club if I am not mistaken. Let's not underestimate Milan who is sitting on the second position, while Roma is 5th on the table in their domestic league. Assuming, it was a different league, I would not doubt Roma.
