When I started gambling my mindset is solely about winning some cash to better my life but the more I gamble, the more that idea shifts. The money no longer satisfies my initial goal but the idea of winning does.
But even with those ideals in play, why would a millionaire start gambling in the first place?
so why would a rich athlete or politician become so addictive to gambling?
I think socialization+joy+drinking+gambling is satisfaction to them. What do you think?
You're spot on, it's not just about the money, but the thrill of winning that keeps people hooked on gambling. It makes sense that even those who already have plenty, like millionaires or athletes, get caught up in it. It's more about the excitement and the social buzz around gambling than anything else.
Sometimes it isn't even about the winning, it's about the that feeling of wanting to win and the believe that on every next try there is a possibility that one could actually win so that's just the case with gambling there is the believe that if I go or play again I might win and this is basically the error that leads to someone being addicted. Then when you eventually get the win one or two times you come so totally tied up to the feeling and it never stops at all.
