Currently, the Europa League for Marseille is quite surprising because they managed to pass through several phases and are currently in the quarter-finals but indeed this is still a risk considering that for the Europa League at this time there are still several other leading clubs such as Liverpool, Milan and Leverkusen who are still one of the favorite clubs.

The Europa League is going on much better for Marseille compared to the Ligue 1 indeed.  Smiley  Their opponent is Benfica in the quarter finals and I believe this is a winnable matchup for Marseille as well.

However let's say they became successful on it their next opponent would probably be Liverpool. Do you believe Marseille can get past this obstacle as well? I don't think so honestly. Therefore they are quite likely to lose their other chance to qualify for the Champions League too. There are still positive things to be seen by their new manager's arrival though. But consistency is always the key factor to success. We need to see it from them more.
Marseille haven't been consistent this season with their performances in the French league but that hasn't been the same in the UEFA Europa League competition where they've been doing exceptionally well. The face Portuguese side Benfica in the quarter finals of the competition and considering the performance of both teams in their respective leagues this season, many including bookmakers are tipping Benfica to reach the semi final atvthe expense of Marseille. But I don't think it'll be as possible for Benfica as many people think of that tie because Marseille's style of football and performance in the competition this season is totally different from how they play in their domestic league which is why I think they're very determined to win the UEFA Europa League competition this season and should be considered as a major threat

Marseille is a great team in the France Ligue 1 as they were also among the top teams in France first division but over the years I don't know what has happened to the team that led to their drop in form but however they always tried to maintain a convenient position in most of their season and considering the fact that they are performing more better in the Europa league is also a sign that they are in for some improvements but however, their game against Benfica may go in favour of Benfica just like some football analysts and bookmakers predicted it because if you check the strength of Benfica and Marseille, you will agree with me that Benfica is more organized and stronger than Marseille so am afraid the match may go in their favour but let's see how it goes as sometimes football doesn't work the way we think and surprises are meant to occur so I wouldn't be surprised if Marseille makes a difference.
