The Europa League is going on much better for Marseille compared to the Ligue 1 indeed. 
Their opponent is Benfica in the quarter finals and I believe this is a winnable matchup for Marseille as well.
However let's say they became successful on it their next opponent would probably be Liverpool. Do you believe Marseille can get past this obstacle as well? I don't think so honestly. Therefore they are quite likely to lose their other chance to qualify for the Champions League too. There are still positive things to be seen by their new manager's arrival though. But consistency is always the key factor to success. We need to see it from them more.
Which is confusing to me. I mean there are better teams there than Ligue 1 teams and considering the situation they are in, I would have expected them to have something much better at ligue one. They should have been second team with a big gap, but they are not there right now. Looking at how the teams are going, I feel like the biggest shocker of the season has been Lyon without a doubt, bare bottom with so many point difference, to mid table team after middle of the season. They really look great and I feel like if they could manage to keep this up, they could even finish at conference league levels. Which could be a stone they could build upon and be better next season as well. I really like them, would love to see them do better.
