I can agree with you there. There is a different look of the standings this season than the previous one. Lyon started the season horrible and barely managed to climb to the tenth position later on. Marseille are even out of top six now. Monaco and Lille are doing better though. On the other hand we have a surprising team at the second position, Brest. 
Brest finished only 9 points above the relegation zone in the previous season but now they are fighting for a Champions League spot. Éric Roy is doing a superb job since he joined. First he kept the team in the Ligue 1 and now this is happening.

After approaching the middle of the season, everyone realized that a popular club like Lyon was experiencing a very deep decline in performance, even as the club was already in despair, but after the arrival of new players, Lyon had a very big change and previously I have said that Lyon is one of the popular clubs in the world. league 1 so it would not be possible to be relegated and now everything is proven.
There are a lot of position changes this season, not the same as last season, only PSG remains in first place and Brest seems to want second place in the League 1 points table.
Marseille experienced another bad period after managing to get 3 wins after then paying for it all with consecutive defeats.
