Leverkusen is at the top of the table with the highest average points per game in Europe's top five leagues. It is not surprising considering that they are the only undefeated team in the most elite league in Europe and they have also managed to compete with big clubs from other top European leagues. An achievement that we would rarely see if not this season and Leverkusen is indeed worth waiting for its performance again next season with the same coach and squad to prove its consistency.
On the other hand, the defending Bundesliga champions for the season, Bayern Munich, are not even in the top 10 list of Europe's top five leagues and they are instead in 11th position in the table with 2.14 points per game. It's really something that we will probably rarely see and indeed their season is really messy and there are no gaps that they can fix. Usually Bayern Munich is guaranteed to be higher on the list along with other big clubs but it looks like that won't be the case this season. The decline in performance to failure that they have experienced so far is something that cannot be changed and they have to admit that Leverkusen is indeed better than them.
