I watched the performance of Manchester United players against Liverpool in the FA Cup match. Manchester United played well enough and at the same time they were very lucky. Liverpool boss Klopp should have learned from the previous defeat.
Manchester United were very tactical in this match. In the first half, United played a completely defensive strategy and did not attempt any attacks. However, from the first minute of the second half, Manchester United started playing in an attacking strategy. They equalized in the 50th minute. And in the second half Liverpool players could not make any advantage. Liverpool's defense needs to be strengthened. If not, the team will lose points in the upcoming matches.
There are things you can't really learn from. When you look at the two goals that Manchester United scored with their first two attempts in the game, how are you defending against those goals? The first goal was insane. It was such a big mistake by the Liverpool defender and Fernandes did something that most other players probably wouldn't have tried. But this isn't something that Klopp could have prepared for. You don't prepare for passing mistakes like that and you don't tell your goalkeeper to stay on the line all the time because such a mistake could happen.
The second goal was brilliantly scored without a doubt. Maybe the defenders should have been closer to the goal scorer, but the execution was perfect and sometimes there isn't much a defender can do against that. Liverpool's biggest problem was their lack of efficiency. They had the chances and could have led with two goals, but instead kept it tight once again. That got punished in the end.
