Israeli Military has laid down a Strong condition for considering a ceasefire in the Bloody conflict with Hamas, emphasizing the release of hostages held in Gaza as a non-negotiable prerequisite.
As it stands now Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing for this ceasefire because he has lost support within the country and majority of Isreal's allies are withdrawing their support. Recently the Isreal main opposition leader Yair Lapid had a meeting with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in Washington. And he critised the way Benjamin is handling the war and as well as the collapse of the relationship between the US and Isreal. At home there have been massive protest concerning the failed tactics of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Isreal wants the release of all hostages while the keep kidnapping and imprisoning hundreds of Palestinians daily. If they want to have all the hostages released, then they should release all Palestinians that have been kept in deplorable conditions in Israeli prisons and the daily arrest of innocent Palestinians should also stop. It makes no sense for Palestinians to release hostages while the IDF keep taking more people into custody.
