I do keep up. In fact, I've been one of the few people in the world to know about some of their inside information, which is why I didn't buy any of their gear past november, and I (along with some others) knew about their hangar mining operation around December. That link to the article, that's old news. It was discussed on the KNC forum in January.
As to the wafflepool account you point to, unless you can show it is actually KNC miner, you might be surprised at the number of large farms out there with GPU's--many of them running on free electricity thanks to governments and universities.
You might also be aware that gridseed and other scrypt-asic companies mine with their gear. Think about that for a moment.
And _maybe_ it's KNC, but the last I heard they were at the foundry level still. So you shouldn't just say "oh it's KNC for sure" and then post an account with hashrate and no proof. My gut tells me it's not KNC. 40..100GH is nothing for KNC.
Their first batch of Scrypt ASIC will ship 2-3 petahash.
