Not speaking for myself alone, but in general terms, gambling can be a modern entertainment, and it can also be a highly addictive game for anybody, it all depends on how we individually treat and or choose to see or take gambling.
For me, how both online and offline gambling have always been about just having fun, in fact, to be more honest, I stopped playing offline/physical games because it made me to want to win at all cost, that is, I seem to prioritize winning over entertainment when ever I am playing an offline game, and this is possibly because, I have friends, a lot of them that I will love to show off to, we tend to respect who ever is hitting more often than losing, so, I believe that if I were to keeping doing offline/physical gambling, I probably will become addicted, and this my family won't like at all.
So, I prefer to gamble online, and let me say that all that you said about online gambling is possibly true, but then, it still does not apply to every online gambler out there, it all depends on who is gambling, and how he or she is going about their gambling activities, for even as safe as offline gambling seems to be, there are still a lot of persons that are addicted to it as well.
Based on my own experience and how I’ve seen others have perceived it, I should say online gambling is a modern form of entertainment and a highly addictive kind of game. In general, gambling has always been a highly addictive game, except for those who are good enough in managing their own emotions and control their gambling urge. If they gamble with discipline, they will never end up seeing gambling as a highly addictive thing.
Moreover, online gambling becomes more addictive as it offers a lot of bonuses and promotions, variety of games and most especially convenience. No wonder why majority of the gamblers have shifted into online gambling knowing it has a lot of advantages compared to offline gambling.
