I wasn't expecting both of them to be eliminated honestly. Instead my expectation was like they would advance but Real Madrid would stay out.
The quarter finals were really full of surprises.Real Madrid are in comfortable condition in the La Liga now. The point gap with Barcelona is eight now and there is an El Clasico at Santiago Bernabeu in three days as well. If Real Madrid win this crucial game they are obviously the champions which is what I expect to happen. Even if it ends up with a draw they should still be okay with winning the title. Barcelona just woke up very late in the league and it is too difficult for them to re-enter the race.
