It's a bold statement to say remain, especially when developers don't want to do anything new with it and in this, I mean, for example, increased block size. Bitcoin can't remain the greatest cryptocurrency in the world with 1 MB block size, it simply won't be able to handle a big number of transactions. It's also sad but Bitcoin is losing decentralization and more and more centralized entities are getting control over it. People also keen towards using centralized service providers instead of decentralized ones.
To my mind, the only thing that makes Bitcoin truly exceptional and probably the GOAT currency is that it's one of the first cryptocurrency and we don't know who created it. That's the magic that Bitcoin has and no currency will be able to copy that magic. Everything else is copyable.
