In my country, farming is still very important. However, I once had a farming land but I was force to sell it for personal reasons. But I do agree, this sector could be one of the most neglected by government around the world.
And even for some countries, those who lead this industry is somewhat corrupt or at least manipulated some goods to their advantage. And with the development of buildings to house the population, some areas are now being taken by developers, who paid government handsomely so that they can get that farm land. And obviously, in the future there will be no enough farm land for the population and they are going to realized it, but it's going to be too late.
Agriculture is now completely modern and is not the same as agriculture in the past, nowadays all sophisticated equipment is available to become a farmer. What the government must think about now is how agricultural products from the community can be purchased at high prices. Currently, what often happens is that when there is a big harvest, the selling price of farmers' produce immediately drops. This really hurts the hearts of farmers, sometimes there are losses, because the capital that is reduced with income does not match, even though the planting results are good. Bachelor graduates due to limited job opportunities, most of them in villages are already involved in the agricultural sector, this is a positive thing to reduce unemployment
