Of course.... if he has any sense of humor at all, the satoshi impersonator could actually be satoshi. What better way to jump into this discussion with some genuine thanks without actually coming out of hiding?
If you look at his posts, I doubt the real Satoshi would ask for a 1000BTC bonus to each new user.
